Glynd is a professional networking and community platform that helps digital craft professionals — designers, developers, product managers, and similar creators and creative technologists — connect, collaborate, learn, and build meaningful relationships.
Our goal is a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for everyone. By using Glynd, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines, which form part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Scope. These Guidelines apply to your conduct on Glynd and to conduct connected to Glynd that takes place off the platform — for example, at events or meetups arranged through Glynd, or in interactions that begin on Glynd. Serious off-platform misconduct connected to your use of Glynd may lead to enforcement.
We take community safety seriously. Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, warnings, account suspension, permanent termination, verification revocation, or other enforcement actions (see Sections 20–24).
Glynd is a professional networking platform. Interact with others respectfully, professionally, and honestly. Professional collaboration, networking, mentorship, learning, business development, and community-building are encouraged.
Glynd is not intended to be used as a dating or hookup platform, a venue for sexual solicitation, a marketplace for illegal goods or services, or a spam/mass-marketing tool.
Treat other users with respect. The following are prohibited: harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, threats, abusive language, targeted attacks, repeated unwanted contact, and retaliation against users who submit reports. Disagreements are allowed; abuse is not.
Glynd does not tolerate hate speech or discriminatory conduct. You may not attack, threaten, demean, exclude, or promote hatred against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, immigration status, or any other protected characteristic. Content promoting extremist ideologies, terrorist organizations, or violent discrimination is prohibited.
Represent yourself honestly. You may not impersonate another person, company, or organization; create fake accounts; use misleading profile information; misrepresent your age, location, professional credentials, or employment history; use stolen photographs; or use another person's identity. Profiles should accurately represent the individual operating the account.
You may not engage in deceptive professional practices, including: recruitment scams, investment scams, fake job offers, pyramid schemes, multi-level-marketing abuse, fraudulent business opportunities, credential fraud, fake testimonials, or misleading professional claims.
Glynd is not a dating service. Prohibited: sexual solicitation; requests for sexual services; sex-work or escort promotion; pornographic content; unwanted sexual advances; repeated romantic pressure; unsolicited sexual messages or intimate images; and fetish-related solicitation. Users who primarily use Glynd for dating, hookups, or sexual solicitation may have their accounts restricted or removed.
Glynd is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 and older. You may not create accounts for minors, facilitate contact with minors, share images of minors in inappropriate contexts, or share, request, promote, distribute, or attempt to access Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation. Suspected CSAM or child-exploitation content may be removed immediately, the account permanently terminated, and the matter reported to the appropriate authorities (e.g., relevant child-protection bodies) where required by law.
Prohibited: threats of violence, physical intimidation, incitement of violence, terrorist content, extremist propaganda, violent criminal activity, graphic violence, and promotion of weapons for unlawful purposes. You may not promote, support, recruit for, or glorify violent extremist organizations.
Glynd cares about user wellbeing. You may not post content that promotes, encourages, instructs, or coordinates suicide, self-harm, or disordered eating, or that pressures others toward such behavior. We may remove this content and take action on accounts that repeatedly share it. Where appropriate, we may point people toward supportive resources. (Discussing your own experience or seeking support is allowed; promotion or encouragement of harm is not.)
You may not use Glynd to engage in, promote, facilitate, or organize illegal activity, including: drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering, fraud, identity theft, counterfeit goods, financial scams, unauthorized hacking, illegal gambling, or illegal weapons transactions.
Prohibited: mass messaging, automated outreach, spam, repetitive unsolicited messages, misleading links, clickbait, excessive self-promotion, and artificial engagement generation. Accounts demonstrating spam-like behavior may be restricted or removed.
Glynd is for meaningful networking. You may not send large volumes of generic messages, contact users without genuine networking intent, run unsolicited lead-generation campaigns, or use Glynd primarily as a cold-outreach tool. Repeated low-effort messaging may be treated as spam.
AI-generated content is permitted only when it is not deceptive. You may not use AI-generated content to impersonate real people, fabricate credentials, create fake identities, mislead others, or conduct scams or fraud. Synthetic content intended to deceive may be removed.
Profile photos and uploaded images must be lawful, appropriate for a professional community, and not misleading, stolen, or used to impersonate another person. The following are prohibited: pornographic content; graphic violence; non-consensual intimate imagery; child-exploitation material; manipulated images used for deception; and images intended to harass or threaten others.
Protect your own privacy and that of others. Do not share, publish, expose, or threaten to share another person's private information without their consent — including home address, precise location, phone number, email, financial or government-ID information, passwords, or private images. Do not aggregate or track another user's location or movements off-platform. Likewise, do not share or request such sensitive information from others without a legitimate, lawful reason.
Where Glynd offers account-verification features, you may not submit another person's verification materials, submit fraudulent or manipulated information, circumvent verification systems, or attempt to obtain verification through deception. Verification abuse may result in permanent account removal.
You may not scrape user information; harvest data; use bots or automated interaction tools; create coordinated fake activity; artificially inflate engagement; manipulate recommendations; or circumvent platform restrictions, moderation systems, or enforcement actions.
You may not create or use accounts to evade restrictions, suspensions, or permanent bans, or operate networks of deceptive accounts. To prevent repeat abuse and protect community safety, Glynd may retain a limited set of identifiers associated with banned accounts (as described in our Privacy Policy).
Events organized through Glynd must comply with applicable laws, accurately describe the activity, set clear participant expectations, and respect participant safety. You participate at your own discretion and risk; Glynd does not supervise, verify, or control real-world activities. The safety provisions of our Terms of Service apply to all events, and conduct at Glynd-arranged meetups is subject to these Guidelines.
If you believe content or behavior violates these Guidelines, report it through the in-app reporting tools or by contacting us (Section 26). You may also block any user: blocking is a voluntary action you control and immediately stops further interaction between you and that user, independently of, and without waiting for, our review. Blocking a user does not by itself create a report. Reports help us investigate safety concerns and enforce these Guidelines.
When we receive a report, or our systems flag content, we review it promptly and prioritize reports involving physical safety, CSAM, illegal content, and credible threats of serious harm. Review may be automated, human, or a combination; we do not routinely read private messages, and human review is generally limited to content that is reported, flagged, or otherwise necessary to investigate safety, security, legal, or policy concerns.
Where we decide to act, we may remove or restrict content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts. Where we restrict your content or account, we will, where required, give you a statement of reasons — identifying what was affected, the Guideline involved, and how to appeal (Section 24).
You may not submit knowingly false or manifestly unfounded reports, abuse the reporting or appeals systems, use reports to harass others, or manipulate moderation processes. Malicious or abusive reporting may itself violate these Guidelines.
When determining enforcement, we may consider the severity of the violation, its frequency, your account history, intent, the impact on other users, and the risk to platform safety.
Depending on these factors, enforcement may range from a warning, to content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, verification revocation, or permanent account termination, and — where required by law — reporting to law-enforcement or other authorities. Serious violations (including those involving safety, CSAM, illegal content, or credible threats) may result in immediate permanent termination without prior warning.
If we restrict your content or account, you may appeal the decision through the in-app appeal option or by contacting safety@glynd.app. We will review eligible appeals and may reverse a decision where appropriate.
For users in the EU: in addition to your right to appeal and to bring proceedings, you may refer a dispute about a content or account restriction to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). We may update these Guidelines from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice (e.g., via the app, website, or email) before they take effect. For non-material changes, continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
